Bulbul Masterbatches P.Ltd.

Our office is at 209 Hari Chamber, on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road. It’s an old building with a slow elevator, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor. We work with masterbatches, which are basically color concentrates for plastics. The office at Bulbul Masterbatches P.Ltd. is small and filled with samples of different colored pellets in jars. It looks a bit like a candy shop but for plastic manufacturers. We spend the day talking to suppliers and trying to match colors for different clients. It’s harder than it looks because the shades have to be just right. The street outside is always busy, being near the main road, so there is a constant hum of traffic. We have a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that sticks if you pull it too hard. It’s a simple setup. We don't do any big marketing; we just rely on the people we've known for years in the industry. Sometimes we go down to the factory to check on the production, but most of the administrative work happens here in Hari Chamber. We drink a lot of chai and manage the orders as they come in. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. Shahid Bhagat Singh Road has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. We just keep track of the colors and the shipments and try not to make mistakes. It is just steady work for us.
