B.T. Composites Ltd. is tucked away on the ground floor of Mercantile Chambers. Being in Ballard Estate gives the place a certain feel, mostly because of those old stone buildings and the wide streets that feel like they belong to another time. 12 J.N. Heredia Marg is our address, and you can usually find us surrounded by stacks of composite materials and rolls of fiberglass. The ground floor location is handy because we don’t have to lug heavy stuff up any stairs, though the high ceilings in this old building make it stay a bit cooler than the modern offices nearby. There is a lot of manual work involved in what we do here. It’s a lot of measuring, cutting, and making sure the resins are handled properly. Sometimes the office feels a bit cramped because we have so many samples and finished pieces sitting around waiting to be shipped out. People come in and out, and there is always a phone ringing or someone asking about a specific dimension for a part. We aren't really the type to wear suits or have big polished desks. Most of us are in work clothes because composites can get messy if you aren't careful. It’s a solid place to work and the history of Ballard Estate makes it interesting to walk to lunch every day. We just try to get the jobs finished correctly so we can go home on time. It is honest work and we keep busy.
