We are based on the first floor of Chandra Raj Appartment on Chinchouli Bandar Road. It’s in Malad West, so the traffic is usually a nightmare around here. Broekman Logistics India Pvt Ltd isn’t in one of those huge corporate parks; we’re just in a normal residential-style building. It feels a bit more like home that way, I guess. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking spreadsheets. Logistics is mostly just a lot of coordinating between people who are never in the same room. The office gets a bit cramped when we have all our files out on the tables. Sometimes the internet goes out for a bit, and we all just sit around talking until it comes back on. It’s a typical Malad office life. We’ve got the local shops right downstairs if we need a snack or some more pens. The fans overhead hum all day long to keep the heat away. We don’t have a big reception desk or anyone in a suit. It’s just the staff in their everyday clothes trying to make sure the cargo moves from point A to point B. It’s a lot of small details that most people don't think about. We just do our bit and try to keep things moving. The road outside is always loud with rickshaws, but inside we just focus on the work at hand and the schedules.
