Being so close to the Nancy Bus Depot means there is always a lot of movement around us. You can hear the buses idling and the conductors calling out destinations throughout the day. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for moving parts and equipment in and out without having to deal with the elevator. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have a lot of switchgear components and boxes taking up the floor space. We have a small desk for the accounts and a couple of workbenches where the real work happens. The lighting isn't the brightest, so we have a few extra lamps plugged in. In the monsoon, the rain hits the windows pretty hard, and we sometimes have to put a towel by the door to keep the water out. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know the local shops and where to get the best snacks. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It is more about getting the orders sorted and making sure the inventory is right. It is a busy, slightly dusty place, but it keeps us moving every day from morning until late evening.
