Bombay Surgical Co. is situated at 104, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road. We are right across from Sir Harkisondas Hospital in the Prathna Samaj area. It’s a very busy part of the city, and being right near the hospital means there’s constant movement and noise outside. We’ve been in this location for quite some time now. Our shop is full of all kinds of surgical instruments and medical supplies that doctors and patients might need at a moment's notice. It’s a narrow space, and we’ve utilized every single inch of the walls for metal shelving. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have an old fan that keeps the air moving. We aren't into big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find out about us by word of mouth or because they’re already visiting the hospital across the street for an appointment. We spend our days answering questions about different tools and checking the quality of what we have in our stock. The billing takes a bit of time because we like to double-check every item manually. Sometimes we run out of space for all the new boxes, so things get stacked a bit high against the walls. It’s a practical business, run by people who know the items we sell inside out. We don’t have a fancy dress code here. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving around and lifting crates. It’s just how we’ve always operated in this neighborhood since we first opened the doors.
