Bombay Manufacturing Co.

We have been here at 82-90 on Banian Street for quite some time now. It is right across from Khatri Masjid, so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. The building isn't fancy or anything, just a solid place where we get our work done. Some days it gets pretty hot inside, especially when the machines are all running at once. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and making sure everything is packed right before it goes out the door. The traffic on this street can be a real headache sometimes, especially in the afternoons. You get used to the noise after a while, I guess. My desk is usually covered in papers and some old coffee mugs that I forget to wash. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with fancy offices and glass walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home when the sun goes down. People around here know us, and we know them. Sometimes a neighbor stops by just to chat for a minute or tell us about the traffic. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We keep the doors open mostly to catch a breeze, though it usually just brings in the dust from the road. It’s just us here, working away on whatever the day brings. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address painted on the wall. It works for us.
