Bombay Instruments Manufacturers Co. is located over at 13, Kalyanji Lalji Bldg., right near the Marine Lines Bridge. It’s an old building, but it works for us. We spend most of our time dealing with various instruments and technical bits. The traffic near the bridge can be a real headache some mornings, but we manage to get in and get to work. Our space is filled with tools and parts, and it’s usually a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of stuff going on at once. We’ve been at this for a long time now. It’s not a shiny showroom or anything like that. Just a place where we make things and keep our records. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but we know where everything is. People come to us when they need specific instruments, and we do what we can to help them out. Being near Marine Lines means we are quite central, which is handy for deliveries. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the trade. We focus on the work rather than how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a practical setup. We've got our routine down, and the building has a lot of character, even if the elevator is slow. That's just how it is here. We just stay busy with our tools and hope the bridge traffic isn't too bad.
