Bollywood Export is on the first floor of the R.N.A building at Lokhandwala Complex. Being in Andheri West means we are always in the middle of a lot of energy. Our office at number 45 is where we coordinate all the shipping of goods overseas. We mostly handle textiles and clothing that have that specific local style. It’s a lot of checking sizes, colors, and making sure the packing is done right. The office is often full of samples and half-packed boxes. We have a small staff who helps with the folding and the paperwork. Lokhandwala is a busy place, and there’s always something happening right outside our window. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and then checking in with the shipping agents. Sometimes things get delayed at the port and we have to explain that to the buyers. It’s part of the trade. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a workspace. We take photos of the items and send them off to our contacts. Most of our day is spent on the computer or on the phone. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going during the busy seasons. It’s a simple business, really. We just try to get the orders right and send them out on time. That’s how we’ve always done it here since we started.
