We've been here at the Sonawala Building on Sleater Road for a long time. People usually find us because we're right near the Taldeo bus stand. It gets busy around here, but that’s just how Tardeo is. We handle a lot of clothes every day. Some people bring in their wedding outfits that need careful dyeing, while others just have their regular office shirts for pressing. We try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes the machines act up or the humidity makes drying take longer than it should. My father started this, and now we just keep it going day by day. It’s a lot of heat and steam in the back, especially during the summer months. We don't have a fancy storefront or anything, just the counter and the racks full of plastic-wrapped clothes waiting for pickup. Most of our customers are locals who live in the apartments nearby. They know us by name, and we know exactly how they like their trousers creased. It’s steady work. We don't do anything flashy, just cleaning and making sure things look decent before they go back home. If you're walking past the bus stand, you've probably seen our sign. It's a bit faded now, but it's still there. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the need for clean clothes stays the same. The fans are always running, but it still stays warm in here with the irons going all afternoon.
