Bliss Exports

You can find our workplace over at the Takkar Industrial Estate on Chapsi Bhimji Road. We are up on the 3rd floor in units A/4 and A/6. It’s right in the Mazgoan and Dockyard area, so you can always hear the activity from the ports and the heavy trucks moving by. Getting up to the third floor can be a bit of a workout when the lift is being fussy, which happens more often than we’d like. Our units are packed with goods ready for export. There isn't much empty space because we use every inch for storage or packing stations. It’s often quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the water, even if it brings in some noise. We are a small team and most of us live nearby. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anyone to greet you; you usually just walk in and find someone busy with a tape dispenser or a checklist. There’s always a rush to meet shipping deadlines, which means some days we stay late and order in some food. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. This is an industrial space meant for work, not for showing off. We focus on the packing, the labels, and making sure the crates are secure. It’s a gritty, honest kind of job and we are used to the pace of the dockyard.
