You can find Bioaids & Scientific Chemicals over at Shah House on Dr. Ch. Street. We are right opposite the Vienna Hotel in Dhobi Talao. It’s a lively part of Marine Lines. The building is 240, and it’s always got something going on. We deal with chemicals and scientific supplies, so the place has a bit of a specific smell, mostly clean and slightly sharp. We have shelves full of glass bottles and jars. You have to be careful walking around because everything is breakable. We’ve had a few spills over the years, but we’re used to it. It’s a narrow space, so we have to be organized. Most of the day is spent packing orders for labs or schools. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone and writing down what’s needed on a notepad. We’ve been here since before the hotel across the street got its last renovation. The neighborhood has changed a bit, but we’re still here doing the same thing. People know us for being reliable with the supplies. If we don’t have a specific chemical, we try to tell you where you might find it. It’s just how we do things in this part of town. No fuss, just getting the job done. We still use the same old wooden counter for checking out and wrapping up the packages.
