Our workshop is on the first floor of the Jagat Satguru Industrial Estate. It’s located just off Aarey Road in Goregaon East. It’s a bit of an older building, and the stairs are a little steep. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the place has a worn-in feel to it. We mostly work with electrical components and specialized metal bits. There is always a smell of welding or soldering in the air, which we don't even notice anymore. The floor is usually covered in some dust or scraps of wire by the end of the shift. We aren’t a high-tech lab with white coats; we’re more of a hands-on type of operation. Most of us wear regular clothes and don’t mind getting our hands dirty. The fans on the ceiling do their best to keep the air moving, but it can get quite warm in the afternoons. We have a small area for the office work, but the real action happens at the workbenches. We check the blueprints, cut the materials, and put things together one by one. It’s a slow process sometimes, but it’s the only way to make sure everything is solid. Outside, the traffic on Aarey Road is constant, but once you’re inside the estate, it feels like its own little world. We just try to get the orders ready on time and keep the machines running without too much trouble.
