Kandivali West is a big neighborhood, and Charkop 77 is where you’ll find our shop. We sell things for the house. It’s not a huge place, but we try to fit in as much as we can on the shelves. There’s always a bit of dust because of all the fabric and wooden items we have around. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and figuring out where things should go. Sometimes we move the furniture around just to see if it looks better in a different corner. It’s just a few of us working here. We aren't interior designers or anything fancy like that, we just sell things that people might want to put in their rooms. The street outside is usually busy with people going about their business. We get a lot of people who just come in to browse while they’re waiting for something else. It’s nice to chat with the regulars from the Charkop area. We don't really have a big philosophy about decor. If a cushion looks good, we put it out. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days we’re busy from the moment we open the door. It’s a simple life running a shop in this part of town. We just try to keep the place looking decent for anyone who stops by. It’s what we do every day.
