Bhuwal Insulation Cables is located on the first floor of Ravindra Villa, which is at 108 Ardeshir Dady Street. We are right near the C.P. Tank Circle, so it’s a very busy part of the city. The building is an old one, typical of this area, with high ceilings and those narrow staircases that can be a bit of a climb. Being on the first floor means we hear everything happening on the street below—the honking, the vendors, and the general rush of people. Our office is a bit of a squeeze. We have desks pushed close together and shelves full of cable samples and old files. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern art on the walls. It’s more about functionality. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. The air conditioning struggles a bit in the peak of summer, but we make do with fans. Most of us have been working in this neighborhood for a long time, so we know the local tea sellers and where to get a quick snack. It’s a tight-knit environment. We don’t have a lot of space for meetings, so we usually just talk across our desks. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but we know where everything is. It’s just our little corner of Mumbai where we keep things running as best as we can.
