Our business is based in a commercial space within the Shiv Shakti Chawl in Vikhroli West. We’re over by the Maitri Row Houses, not too far from the Mubarak Masjid. It’s a very local spot, and we’ve been part of the neighborhood for quite some time. We do decoration work for all kinds of events, so our space is often filled with rolls of fabric, stacks of plastic chairs, and various decorative frames. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when we’re preparing for a big wedding or a local festival. We spend a lot of our time loading and unloading trucks right there on the street. The area around the chawl is always busy with people going about their business, and there’s a lot of friendly shouting back and forth between the neighbors. We don’t have a fancy front desk; people usually just walk in and talk to whoever is available. We handle everything from simple tent setups to more detailed stage decorations. Most of the work happens outside at the event sites, so this place is more like a hub for all our gear. During the busy season, we’re often working late into the night to get everything ready for the next morning. We usually grab some snacks from the small shops nearby when we’re in the middle of a big job. It’s a lot of hard work, but we enjoy being part of the local celebrations.
