A.K. Zainuddin Company

We are located in Bhendi Bazar, which is always a very busy part of the city. Our shop is 13-A and 13-B in Khadija Manzil on 1st Cooper Street. Having two shop spaces next to each other helps because we have a lot of stuff to move around. A.K. Zainuddin Company has been operating out of this spot for quite a while. It’s the kind of place where you hear the noise of the street all day long—horns, people shouting, and carts moving by. We stay busy with our own work, mostly handling orders and talking to people who come by the bazar. It’s not a quiet office with carpets and air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. It’s an old building with a lot of character. We keep our ledgers and our stock organized as best as we can, but it’s a working shop. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall nearby while we sit and go over the day’s tasks. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We’re just a family-style business that’s been on Cooper Street long enough to know everyone. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the inventory, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s just how we do business here in the bazar. We open the shutters early and usually stay until the street lights come on for the night.
