Abbas Sanitation

We are located at No. 11 in the Mehta Patel Shopping Center on Modi Patel Road. It’s a busy part of Bhayander West. Abbas Sanitation is basically a store full of pipes, taps, and toilets. It’s not a very pretty place to look at. We have stacks of ceramic basins and rows of plastic fittings everywhere. It can be hard to walk through the aisles without bumping into a pipe. We spend our days helping people find the right size washers or explaining how a certain valve works. Most of our customers are local plumbers or homeowners trying to fix a leak. It’s a lot of dusty work, moving heavy boxes around and counting out small brass parts. We don't have a fancy showroom with tiled walls. It’s just shelves and counters. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a small fan going behind the counter. We’ve been in this shopping center for a while now, so people know where to find us when their sink starts dripping. We don't try to sell people stuff they don't need. If a ten-rupee washer will fix the problem, we just give them that. It’s about being useful to the people in the neighborhood. We stay open until late evening because that’s when most people realize they have a plumbing problem. It’s just how it is. Sometimes we share tea with the shopkeeper next door while things are quiet.
