Basar Exports is tucked away in C/1 of Dalal Estate, which is right near Mumbai Central. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy the Central area gets. The estate itself is an old place, full of history and a lot of different businesses crammed together. We’ve been operating from this unit for quite a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the export side of things. There’s always a bit of a noise coming from the trains nearby and the trucks loading and unloading in the estate. It’s a constant hum of activity. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping documents, checking boxes, and making sure the orders are ready to go out. The space is a bit tight because we have to store a lot of stuff before it moves. We don't have a fancy reception area. Usually, you’ll just find someone sitting at a desk covered in ledgers and bills of lading. Mumbai Central is a convenient spot for us because of the transport links, even if the traffic is a nightmare most afternoons. We just do our thing, day in and day out. We aren't into big marketing schemes or anything like that. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B without too much drama. It's just a regular Mumbai business life.
