Barrier Packaging is located right in the middle of Laxmi Industrial Estate. If you know the area in Andheri West, you know it gets quite crowded with trucks and vans moving stuff in and out all day long. We are in unit 3Q. It’s not far from Fame Adlabs, which is a good landmark for people who can't find us on the New Link Road. The work here is mostly about getting the packaging right. There’s always the sound of tape and boxes being moved around. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. Most of us have been working here for quite some time now. We know the neighbors and the guys at the tea shop nearby. It’s an industrial area, so there’s no point in trying to look like a fancy corporate office. We just focus on the boxes and the materials we use. Sometimes the traffic on New Link Road makes deliveries a bit slow, but that’s just how things go in this part of town. We just try to stay organized so we don't lose track of what needs to go where. Every day is pretty much the same routine of checking orders and packing things up. It’s honest work and we are just trying to keep the business going from this small spot in Andheri. It gets the job done and we are okay with that.
