Nitushi Electrik

Our office is up on Level 8 of the Vibgyor building in BKC. It’s a busy part of Bandra East, and if you have ever tried to drive around here during rush hour, you know it is a bit of a nightmare. Even though we are in a big glass building, we are just regular people dealing with electrical supplies. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking stock lists. It’s not all fancy corporate stuff; mostly it’s just making sure the right parts get to where they need to go. Sometimes the lift in the building takes forever, and we end up waiting around with the delivery guys. We handle a lot of different electrical items, and the office is often piled up with catalogs and samples that we haven’t had a chance to organize properly. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Living and working in Mumbai means you’re always on the move, and we are no different. We usually eat our lunch at our desks while looking out at the other buildings in BKC. It’s a strange mix of being in a high-rise but doing very practical, hands-on business. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall; we just try to keep track of the orders and make sure the accounts are mostly right at the end of the month. It is nothing too special, just us doing our daily jobs until it is time to go home.
