Our office is up on the 4th floor of the Laxmi Building at Plot No. 6. We are right on Shoorji Vallabhdas Marg. Being on the fourth floor means we have to deal with the stairs or the old elevator, which sometimes has a mind of its own. It’s a classic building in a busy part of the city. We work with cables here, mostly handling the administrative side and the planning. It’s not a factory floor, so it’s a bit quieter than some of our other sites, but there’s still plenty of movement. We have desks piled with papers and samples of different wires lying around. The view from the window isn't much, just the street below, but we like being in the middle of everything. It’s easy to get tea or a snack downstairs. The staff here is a mix of people who have been around for decades and a few newer faces. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or modern art on the walls. It’s just a place where we come to get the job done. Sometimes the traffic on Shoorji Vallabhdas Marg is a nightmare, but that's just part of working here. We usually start early to beat the heat and the crowds. It's a functional space that serves us well. We know our neighbors in the building, and it feels like a small community. It’s an old-school way of working.
