Working at Ayush Cctv & Surveillance here in Mumbai means you’re always around wires and boxes. Our place is tucked away, and it’s a bit of a maze inside with all the inventory we have stacked up. Mumbai is a hectic city, and our little corner is no different. There’s always someone coming in or a phone ringing. The name Ayush Cctv & Surveillance is printed on the glass, but the letters are starting to peel just a little bit at the edges. I keep meaning to fix that. We have a small table where we sit and eat our lunch, usually squeezed between some gear. The floor is grey tile and it’s pretty easy to clean, which is good because people are always walking in with dusty shoes. It’s a practical setup. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some notes taped up and maybe a calendar. The lighting is a bit bright, the kind of white light you see in most workshops. It’s not a place for lounging around. We’re here to work. Being in Mumbai, the sounds of the street are always there in the background. It becomes like white noise after a while. We’ve been running Ayush Cctv & Surveillance for some time now, and it’s just our way of life in the city.
