We run Axon International out of the Goodluck Apartments on Subhash Lane in Malad East. It’s a residential building that has several small offices. Subhash Lane is one of those busy streets where it’s hard to find a parking spot. Our office is a bit like a converted home, which makes it feel relaxed. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. Inside, we have a few rooms filled with desks, computers, and stacks of papers. It’s a tight squeeze, especially when we have a lot of work. We handle a lot of coordination from here, so the phones are often ringing. There is a small balcony where we keep some plants and take our breaks. The building is older, so the lift can be a little slow, but it works. We are surrounded by other shops and apartment blocks, so there is always a lot of activity outside. We’ve been here for quite some time now and know the local people well. It’s a straightforward setup for us. We don’t have fancy furniture or high-tech screens. We just have our workstations and our files. It’s a place where we come to work and stay focused on the tasks for the day. Sometimes we stay late when things get busy, but that is just part of it. It’s not fancy, but it works for us.
