You can find us up on the 7th floor of the Shiv Ashish Commercial Complex in Chembur East. We’re located on 19th Road, which is pretty close to Hotel Pearl. Being on the 7th floor is great because it gets us away from the street noise and the dust of the main road. The view from up here is actually quite decent, looking out over the Chembur skyline. The elevator can be a bit slow during the office rush hours, so some of our members take the stairs if they’re feeling particularly energetic. Inside, the gym is laid out across a fairly large floor plan. We’ve got different sections for different types of exercises, though it’s all in one big open area for the most part. It’s a very local feel here. Most of our regulars live in the buildings right around 19th Road or work in the commercial offices nearby. We have a few trainers who wander around and help out, but it’s mostly people doing their own thing. We try to keep the music at a level where you can still talk, and we make sure the water cooler is always full. It isn’t a high-pressure environment at all. It’s just a place where neighbors come to stay active and have a quick chat between sets. We’ve been here in Shiv Ashish for a while now and have become a regular part of the neighborhood routine for people in this part of Chembur.
