Our office is tucked away at 99 Old Prabhadevi Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how the traffic can get around here, especially when it rains. The building is one of those older ones that has seen a lot of seasons. We don't have a big shiny sign out front, just the address and the name on the door. Most of us arrive on bikes or take the local transport, then walk the last bit past the street vendors. The space inside is a bit cramped because we’ve got folders and parts stacked up in corners. There is always a smell of old paper and maybe some engine oil if someone brought a part in from the shop floor. We spend a lot of time on the phones or sitting at the computers under those flickering lights. It’s a small team, so everyone knows whose turn it is to get the tea from the guy down the street. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is wrapping up, and you can hear the city noise outside starting to die down a bit. It’s not a quiet place during the day, with people coming in and out and the constant sound of horns from the road. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s where we started and it feels like home now, even with the peeling paint on the walls and the slow elevator. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes across the desk each morning without much fuss.
