Auto Fix Industries

Finding us is a bit of a journey if you aren't familiar with Dhobi Street. We are up on the second floor of the Tawawala Building, right across from Zakaria Masjid. It’s room 5 and 6. The stairs are a bit narrow and old, but it’s a solid building. We’ve been here for a while now. Downstairs is always noisy with the street life and the calls from the Masjid, which we’ve grown to like. We work on auto parts and fixes. It’s greasy work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. One of those big car centers with a waiting room and free snacks isn't what we are. You come here, we look at the part, and we tell you if we can fix it or if it’s junk. Most of the time, we find a way. Space is tight in these rooms, so being organized is a must, though it might look like a mess to someone walking in for the first time. Knowing where every wrench and bolt is kept is how we manage. The neighborhood is crowded but full of life. Customers who have been coming to us for years know we just do the work. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we open the windows and keep going. It’s just a small shop in a busy part of town doing what we know best at Auto Fix Industries.
