Aura Gems

Aura Gems is located in Nanik Niwas at 19 Dr. D.D. Sathe Marg, right on Banama Hall Lane in the Girgaum area. It is a very old part of the city with narrow lanes and a lot of local history. Our office is small and usually filled with the various tools of our trade. We spend a lot of time looking at stones and talking to the craftsmen who visit us. The area is always buzzing with people, and the noise from the street filtered through our windows is just part of our daily life. It is not a shiny showroom like you might see in a big shopping mall. It is a working office where we do the actual sorting and checking of everything. We have been in Girgaum for many years, and we know the neighborhood and the neighbors very well. The light in the room is very important for the kind of work we do, so we have some bright lamps set up at every desk. There are bits of paper and small plastic containers scattered everywhere. It probably looks like a bit of a mess to an outsider, but it works perfectly for us. We do not use big words to describe our work. We just pick up the gems, look at them closely, and decide what to do next. It is a slow and careful process that we take one day at a time in this quiet corner of the building.
