AUK Design Studio

We've been here at Dipti Villa in Chakala for a good bit now. It’s a busy part of Andheri East, right off T, so there's always noise from the traffic outside our window on the second floor. AUK Design Studio is basically just a few of us sitting around desks with a lot of coffee and open files. Most days involve sketching out ideas or arguing over where a wall should go in a drawing. It’s not fancy. The office gets a bit cluttered with samples and blueprints everywhere, but we know where everything is. Usually, one of us is running out to a site or dealing with a contractor who didn’t show up on time. We’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years. People stop by to ask questions about renovations or just to see what we're working on. It’s a small space, but it works for what we do. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will probably be on a phone call or staring at a computer screen. We keep things pretty straightforward here. If the power goes out, we just take a break and talk. It’s just how it is working in a place like this. We try to get the work done without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes the rain makes the commute to Chakala a mess, but we're usually here by ten anyway.
