If you’re looking for us, we’re tucked away in Badri Dham Society over on Sant Janabai Road in Vile Parle East. It’s a nice enough spot, very typical for this part of Mumbai where everything is a bit crowded but familiar. The office isn’t huge, just a few rooms where we keep our records and desks. Being in a society means we see the same neighbors every morning, and there’s usually some conversation happening near the gate about the weather or the traffic. Atul Desai And Associates has been operating out of here for a good bit of time. The rooms are filled with the usual stuff you’d expect—cabinets that stick a little, chairs that might squeak if you sit the wrong way, and plenty of pens that always seem to go missing when you need one. We don’t have a big reception desk or a sign that lights up at night. It’s more of a walk-in-and-say-hello kind of place. The traffic on the road can get loud during rush hour, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of typing or someone on the phone. We like being in Vile Parle because it’s easy for people to find us, even if the parking is a bit of a nightmare sometimes. It’s just a normal office where we put in our hours and try to keep things organized. No big speeches or fancy branding, just us working through the daily pile of paperwork.
