Atul Brass Works

Atul Brass Works is located at 38 Sarang Street. If you know the area, you know it’s a very tight and busy street, typical of this part of the city. We’ve been in this spot for years. The shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling with brass items. There isn't much room to move around once you get a few people inside. We have old wooden counters that have been worn smooth over the decades. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough light to show people what we have. We don't have a website or a fancy marketing plan; we mostly just talk to the people who walk in or the regulars who have been buying from us for a long time. The noise from the street is constant—horns, people shouting, and the sound of carts being pushed over the uneven road. We keep our inventory in bins and on high shelves that require a ladder to reach. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We know where every single piece is, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take five minutes to sit on the stools and watch the crowd go by outside the door. It’s a simple life, focused on the metal we sell and the people we see every day on Sarang Street. We don't change much around here, and that seems to work.
