Atomospaper

Located at 75 Mody Street in the Vijay Bhuvan building, right in the Fort area, our place is always surrounded by history and a lot of noise. Atomospaper has its roots deep in this part of Mumbai. If you’ve ever been to Fort, you know how the buildings are—old, with high ceilings and those narrow stairs that have been walked on for decades. We get our mail at Post Box No 1939, but the real work happens inside. Our rooms are filled with the smell of paper and ink. There are stacks of sheets everywhere, different weights and textures, piled up against the walls. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Mody Street is always busy with people moving goods, and we are right in the thick of it. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and checking the sheets of paper that come in. It’s dusty work sometimes. We don't have a modern showroom or anything fancy. Instead, we have a space that feels like it’s been there forever. We talk to our customers in a very plain way, no big sales pitches needed. They know us and we know what kind of paper they need for their specific projects. Sometimes we sit and have some tea while looking out at the busy street below. It’s a bit cramped, and the elevator in the building can be moody, but it’s home for us.
