Associated Traders

You can find us at 303 Matruchaya, which is right on Narsi Natha Street. This part of the city is always moving, especially with all the trading going on. Narsi Natha Street is one of those places where you really have to watch where you’re walking because of the handcarts and the people carrying heavy loads. Our office is up on the third floor. Associated Traders isn’t a huge operation. It’s mostly just a few of us handling the buying and selling part of the business. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at ledger books. The building itself, Matruchaya, is an older structure, so the elevator is a bit slow and sometimes it’s just easier to take the stairs. The office gets quite a lot of light in the morning, which is nice. We keep a lot of our records in physical folders because that’s just how we’ve always done it. It’s easier to find things when they’re right there in front of you. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three things happen at once, but we manage to sort it out eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get through the day’s work without too many headaches. It’s a practical way to run a trading business in a busy area like this, and it works for us.
