Assa Abloy India Ltd. is situated in the Ecostar Building, specifically in units 1204-05. We’re located in Vishweshwar Nagar, just off Aarey Road in Goregaon East. It’s a bit of a climb up to the twelfth floor, but the view of the city is alright. Our office is mostly about door hardware and opening solutions. It’s not just locks; it’s a lot of mechanical stuff that people don’t think about until it breaks. We have a lot of samples on the walls and technical manuals on the desks. Goregaon is a fast-paced area, and the building reflects that. There are always people coming and going. We don’t use a lot of fancy corporate speak here. We just discuss how a door should swing or how a lock should latch. It’s practical, everyday engineering. The office can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at once, but we get the work done. Being off Aarey Road means we deal with a fair bit of traffic, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We’ve set up our space to be functional first and foremost. We aren't here to win any design awards; we just want the products we handle to work correctly for whoever ends up using them. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy.
