Our place, Asian Rocks Pvt. Ltd., is right near Ashokvan Naka on the Western Express Highway in Dahisar East. It’s a busy spot because of the highway, so there is always a lot of noise and dust from the traffic. We deal in different kinds of stones and rocks for construction and landscaping. If you drive past, you’ll see the stacks of material out front. We spend most of our time outdoors or in the small office shed we have on-site. It’s a dirty job, handling heavy stones all day, but someone has to do it. We work with a lot of builders and architects who need specific types of rock for their projects. The weather can be a bit of a problem, especially during the monsoon when everything gets muddy, but we manage to keep the deliveries moving. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy website. Most people just see us from the highway or hear about us from someone else in the building trade. It’s a straightforward operation. We weigh the trucks, check the quality of the stone, and make sure the orders are right. It’s physical work and can be exhausting, but we’ve been here in Dahisar for a while now and we know the business well. Just a simple stone yard trying to stay busy. We try to finish our work before it gets too dark.
