We’ve been here at Ahmed Chambers on Lamington Road for quite a while now. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people moving boxes around. Our place is on the second floor in room A-8. It’s not a huge office, just enough space for us to keep the inventory and do what needs doing. Most days it’s just the sound of the fans and the occasional delivery guy knocking on the door. Lamington Road is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but we’ve gotten to know the neighbors and the tea stall nearby pretty well. There is always something happening outside on the street, but up here it’s mostly just us working through orders. Sometimes the lights flicker when the old wiring acts up, but we manage. It isn't a fancy setup with glass doors or anything. Just some old desks, a lot of components in plastic bins, and a few chairs for whoever drops by. We spend most of our time checking parts or writing down notes on what came in that morning. It’s simple work, really. The walk up to the second floor keeps us busy, especially when the weather is humid. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come. It’s been our spot for years and we know where everything is kept, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else walking in.
