Our office is tucked away on the second floor of Sharda Chambers at New Marine Lines. Mumbai is a fast place, and being right here near the water and the big buildings means there’s always noise from the street below. We’ve been in room 208 for a while. It’s a typical Mumbai office—not too big, but we make use of every inch of space. Files are stacked up, and the phones ring more than we’d like sometimes. Dealing with overseas stuff means we are often working at odd hours to match other time zones. You’ll see us here late quite often. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of staff; it’s just a dedicated group of us making sure shipments and paperwork are moving like they should. New Marine Lines is a busy hub, and we like being in the middle of it. Sometimes the lift in Sharda Chambers acts up, and we have to take the stairs, which keeps us fit I guess. We handle a lot of logistics and back-and-forth communication for Ashutosh Overseas Enterprises. It’s not the kind of work that gets much glory, but it keeps the wheels turning for the products we move. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything for visitors, just a couple of chairs and a lot of work on the desks. We've lived through the monsoon floods and the summer heat right here in this office for years.
