Ashok Traders

Ashok Traders is right here in Kapadia Chambers on J.S.S Road. We've been at room 202 for quite a while now. The building is usually buzzing with people coming and going. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the work. We handle different kinds of trading stuff. Mostly it’s just us answering phones, checking ledgers, and making sure things get shipped out when they’re supposed to. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the paperwork on the desks, but we know where everything is. The lift in this building is old and sometimes it takes forever, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s a good workout I guess. We aren't doing anything fancy here. Just a regular day-to-day operation. Usually, the morning starts with tea and a quick look at what came in yesterday. Our space isn't huge, but it fits what we need. We see a lot of regular faces around the neighborhood. J.S.S Road has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of it. If you walk past the chambers, you might miss the entrance if you aren't looking. Dealing with suppliers and customers takes up most of our time. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have known each other for years. It works out fine. We keep the inventory records by hand mostly. It feels more reliable that way sometimes. We just try to keep things simple and get the job done without too much fuss.
