Ashish Imports

Ashish Imports is located at 91, Mapala House on the first floor. We are right on Modi Street in the Fort area of Mumbai. It’s an old, historic building with very thick walls and high ceilings. The entrance is a bit narrow and you have to walk up a flight of stone stairs to reach us. The whole neighborhood is incredibly busy, with people rushing everywhere and vendors calling out. Inside our office, things are a bit of a squeeze. We have boxes piled up against the walls because we deal with a lot of incoming goods. There’s a lot of paperwork on every desk and the phone rings pretty much all day long. Without any air conditioning, we rely on some old ceiling fans that spin around and keep the air moving. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we just deal with it. We’ve been in this building for a long time and know the shopkeepers downstairs very well. Getting our lunch from one of the small places nearby is a daily habit. No fancy furniture or decor is found in our office. It’s just a place where we do our business and keep track of our inventory. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. Working hard and trying to stay organized in a crowded space is our main focus.
