Ashco Industries Ltd.

Being right across from SEEPZ in Andheri East means we deal with a lot of noise and traffic every single day. Ashco Industries Ltd. is located at Lab House, on Plot No. F-13. It’s a busy corner of the city, and sometimes it feels like the whole of Mumbai is trying to get past our gate at the same time. The building is called Lab House, which sounds a bit more formal than it actually is. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting at our desks or moving through the storage areas. The windows look out toward the industrial area, so there isn’t much of a view, just other buildings and the tops of trucks. We have a rhythm to our work here. The morning starts with checking the logs and seeing what came in overnight. We aren't into fancy decorations or corporate culture programs. We just have our tasks and we get them done. When the rain starts pouring down in July, the roof makes a lot of noise, and we sometimes have to move the files away from the windows. The local canteen nearby is where most of us get our lunch, usually some dal and rice in a steel box. It’s a practical life here in Andheri. We don't spend time on big speeches or marketing plans; we just make sure the operations at F-13 are running like they should be for the day.
