Ashapura Garments Ltd.

Our place is at 301, Navyug Indl. Estate on T.J. Road in Sewree. Ashapura Garments Ltd. has been here for a good while. Sewree is an old industrial heart of the city, and being in the Navyug Industrial Estate feels right for what we do. The third floor is where we do all our cutting and sewing. It can get pretty loud with the machines going, and the air is usually full of lint and the smell of fabric. We have rows of workstations and people who have been sewing for decades. It’s a busy atmosphere. T.J. Road always has trucks loading and unloading, so getting in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you see the work being done. It’s honest and it’s loud. We spend our days checking patterns, fixing machine needles, and making sure the stacks of fabric are moving through the line. The guys downstairs in the estate know us well. We aren't a corporate office with suits; we’re a garment factory with people in aprons and rolled-up sleeves. We just focus on getting the piles of clothes finished and packed. Every day is a bit different depending on what we are making, but the rhythm of the machines stays the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
