Our site is at Plot No. T-7 in the MIDC Industrial Area over in Taloja. It’s a big open area with a lot of heavy industry all around us. You see a lot of trucks carrying big loads passing by our gate every hour. The facility itself is quite large because glass takes up a lot of space. It’s not a quiet place to work. There’s always the sound of machinery or something being moved. We spend the day making sure everything is running the way it should be. It’s a lot of watching the lines and checking the glass as it comes through. In the summer, Taloja gets incredibly hot, and being around the glass production doesn't make it any cooler. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. The office part of the building is just a few rooms with some old desks and filing cabinets. We don't really have a lot of visitors, mostly just drivers and the occasional inspector. It’s a long commute for some of us, but we’ve been doing it for years. The routine is the same every day. We clock in, do the work, and then head home when the shift is done. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from start to finish.
