You can find us at 145 G Abdul Rehman Street, which is right near J J Hospital. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets. There are people everywhere and bikes squeezed into every little gap. Our shop is small and filled with all sorts of metal items. We have drawers and shelves packed with keys and lock sets from top to bottom. It smells like oil and metal in here, which I guess is normal for a place like this. We spend a lot of time cutting keys or showing people how different latches work. The counter is scratched up from years of heavy things being dragged across it. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is just kept in our heads or written in a ledger. Sometimes it gets so hot in the shop that we have to step out onto the sidewalk just to catch a breeze. It’s a noisy street with all the honking and people shouting, but we’ve been here long enough that it’s just background noise now. Customers come in with broken keys or looking for a specific type of bolt, and we just dig through the bins until we find it. It's a simple business. We don't try to make it look like something it's not. Just a local shop on a busy street doing what we know. There's always a stack of tea cups waiting to be cleaned by the sink.
