Being right across from the Odeon Cinema in Ghatkopar East means there is always something going on outside our windows at 121, Kailash Plaza. The traffic on the road is constant, and you can hear the horns honking all through the afternoon. We work on the packaging and export side of things here at Arsee Propac. It's mostly about coordination and making sure the boxes are packed right before they head out to the ports. The office in Kailash Plaza isn't very big, but we make it work with all the desks and the files we have to keep track of. Usually, the day starts with a cup of tea from the stall downstairs while we look over the shipping schedules. People come and go, mostly delivery drivers and the occasional client stopping by to drop off some paperwork. It gets quite crowded in this part of Mumbai, especially when a new movie is playing at the cinema and the crowds start gathering. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the general rush of the area over the years. Most of our time is spent on the phone or typing away on the old computers. We don't have much time for long breaks except for lunch when we usually go find something quick to eat nearby. The air conditioning hums in the background, trying to keep the humid air at bay while we sort through the stack of export documents. It’s a straightforward job, and we’ve been at this spot for a long time now.
