An-Lan Texknit Processors Private Limited

We are over on Ponnurangam Road West in R.S. Puram. It’s number 111, a plain building that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for the small sign. We do a lot of textile processing here, mostly focusing on knits and various fabric treatments for the local garment industry. The machines can get pretty loud during the day, so you have to talk over the humming when you’re standing on the shop floor. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the tension on the machines and making sure the dyes are setting right in the vats. R.S. Puram is a nice area, though parking can be a real headache for our visitors and the staff. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been with us since we first opened the doors. Most of the time, we’re just covered in bits of lint or thread by the end of the shift. It’s just the way it is when you work with clothes and fabric all day long. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that for visitors. Just a small desk where the invoices get signed and the phone sits. Sometimes the heat from the processors makes the room quite warm, so we keep the big industrial fans going at full speed. We just focus on getting the orders out to the makers on time. It’s hard work, but we take it day by day and try to keep things organized.
