Anil Bearing Stores

We are down on Narayan Dhuru Street, at number 163. It’s right in the Masjid area, which is always packed with people and lorries. Anil Bearing Stores has been in this spot for a long time. It’s a narrow street, and things can get pretty chaotic outside our door. We sell bearings and parts, mostly just keeping stock of what people need for their machines. The shop is full of boxes from floor to ceiling. It might look a bit messy to someone from outside, but we know where everything is kept. It’s a family-run thing, really. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. People come here because they know we’ve been around. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when things are slow, just watching the street. It’s a lot of hard work, moving heavy crates and dealing with the heat, but it’s what we know. Narayan Dhuru Street has its own rhythm. You get used to the noise of the carts and the shouting. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Mumbai, just a regular one for the folks who need bearings. If the lights are on, we’re open. Usually, we close up when the sun goes down and the street starts to clear out. It’s just a regular hardware store in a busy market that’s seen better days but still keeps going. We don't change much because this way of working still suits the neighborhood.
