Diya Jewel

Diya Jewel is located in Andheri West, specifically at A/205 Mahalasa Villa in Azad Nagar 3. It is off Veera Desai Road, which is always busy and full of people. Our spot is a bit more tucked away, which is nice because jewelry work requires a lot of concentration. We do not have a fancy store with glass windows and security guards at the door. It is more of a workshop where we sit at our benches and work with small tools and stones. We spend a lot of time looking through magnifying loupes. Sometimes we are working on a ring and the setting is just not holding right, so we have to spend hours fixing it. It is not as glamorous as it sounds. There is a lot of dust and metal scraps around. We deal with gold and silver and various gemstones. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood or friends of friends who know what we do. We don't have a big mission statement or a fancy website. We just sit down every morning and start working on whatever orders we have. The lighting in the workshop has to be just right, so we have these big lamps everywhere that make the place quite warm. We have been here for a good while and we like being part of the Andheri community. It is just our daily routine.
