Burhani Transmission

If you find yourself on the Marol-Maroshi Road, you’ll see us right across from the Hotel Silver Inn. This part of Andheri East is always moving, and Burhani Transmission is right in the middle of it. We deal with a lot of heavy parts, so there’s usually some grease on our hands and the floor has its fair share of scuffs. It’s a noisy place because of all the metal and the trucks passing by outside towards Marolnaka. We don’t have any air conditioning in the main work area, so it gets pretty hot during the summer months. We spend a lot of time looking at gears and chains, making sure everything is the right size for the people who need them. It’s a very physical job. There are stacks of metal components everywhere you look. We have a small corner where we keep the bills and a landline phone that rings more than you’d think. People come in looking for specific parts, and we usually have to dig through the shelves to find the exact one. It’s not the kind of place that looks pretty, but it’s where the work gets done. The Silver Inn is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been working out of this spot in Marol for quite a while, just keeping the transmissions moving and the gears turning for everyone who stops in.
