Alaziz Plastics Private Limited is based in the Nateline Industrial Estate, which is over in Sakinaka, Andheri East. If you know the area, you know it’s always packed with people and all kinds of vehicles. Our unit is one of many in the estate. We make plastic products, so the smell of melting plastic is something we deal with every single day. The machines are quite old but they still work fine as long as we keep them oiled and maintained. It gets really hot inside during the summer months, even with the big industrial fans running at full speed. We have a small group of workers who have been here since the day we opened. We don't really have a front office or a place for guests to sit. Usually, if someone comes by for a meeting, we just talk to them near the loading dock or in the small space by the door. Most of our work is for other businesses that need specific plastic parts for their own products. We spend a lot of time checking the molds and making sure the cutters are sharp. It’s not a clean job, and there are always little bits of plastic scrap on the floor. We just sweep up at the end of the day and start over again the next morning. It’s a steady pace and it’s just us making things.
