Amit. S. Gavathe

Amit. S. Gavathe operates out of Ganesh Compound on Kulupwadi Road in Borivali East. This part of Mumbai is always moving, especially with the National Park being so close by. The compound itself is a bit of a mix of small businesses and workshops, so there is always some kind of hammering or loading going on nearby. Our space is not very big, just a room where we keep our stuff and handle the paperwork. We have been in Borivali for a long time and we know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic on the Western Express Highway. The office is pretty basic with just some old tables and chairs. We do not really care much about how it looks as long as we can do our jobs properly. Most of the people we work with are from the nearby areas like Dahisar or Kandivali. We do not do any big advertising because we are usually busy enough just by people knowing where we are. It is a simple life and the work is steady. We usually have a tea break in the afternoon at the stall outside the compound gate. That is where we hear all the local news. We are just regular people working in a busy part of the city, trying to get things right one day at a time.
