Our little setup for American President Lines Logistics is over in Vikhroli East. If you’re familiar with Mumbai, you’ll find us at Kannamwar Nagar No 1. We are in Building 1, Flat 4. It’s more of a residential-looking area than a typical corporate park, which actually makes it a bit quieter for us to get work done. Vikhroli has changed a lot over the years, but this part still feels like the old neighborhood. We handle a lot of the logistics coordination from this flat. It’s a basic space, nothing too flashy, just some desks, computers, and a lot of files. Most of our day is spent tracking containers and talking to drivers or port officials. It gets pretty humid here during the monsoon, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves us well. We’ve been here for some time now, and we know the local shops around the corner for tea breaks. Being in Mumbai means everything is fast, but in this flat, we try to keep things organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It’s a simple operation really. We don’t have a big reception area or a team of people in suits. It’s just us, making sure the cargo moves from point A to point B without getting stuck. You can usually hear the city noise in the distance, but inside Flat 4, we just focus on the job.
